Susan worked as a secondary school teacher for 18 years, 13 of those leading a large pastoral and safeguarding team at a comprehensive school in Birmingham. Susan now runs The Enlightened Parent; a social media page, providing short, easily digestible pieces of safeguarding information for parents. Susan’s mission is to empower parents to be modern, well-informed champions for their children. Susan supports schools with engaging their parent in safeguarding matters, producing resources for schools as well as delivering workshops to parents.
