Sarah is a practitioner with over 14 years’ experience across Ireland and the Middle East. Having spent more than a decade working in education in Dubai, Sarah previously served as Head of Wellbeing at Dubai English Speaking School, where she led the strategic development and implementation of a whole-school wellbeing framework, embedding wellbeing across curriculum, culture, leadership practice and support systems for students, staff and families.
Her experience spans curriculum design, professional learning and development, targeted interventions, alongside the development of whole-school strategies and initiatives. Under her leadership, the school’s work was recognised with the MENA Optimus Pupil Wellbeing Award, accreditation through the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools, and “Outstanding” ratings for Wellbeing and Moral Education within KHDA inspections.
Now based in Ireland, Sarah is Assistant Professor for Wellbeing at Hibernia College. Her role brings together research, curriculum development and lecturing across Professional Master’s, postgraduate and microcredential programmes, alongside the development of wellbeing initiatives for the College community and the wider education sector.
Drawing together her experience of supporting wellbeing across the lifespan, Sarah is the founder of Flow- a strengths-based wellbeing and performance approach to navigating life’s natural ebbs and flows. Her work includes leadership and individual coaching, consultancy, and experiential Thriving in Education workshops designed to support individuals, educators, leaders and teams to deepen their self-awareness, navigate challenge and thrive both personally and professionally.
Sarah is passionate about translating wellbeing science into meaningful everyday practice. She has a particular interest in regulation-first approaches to teaching and learning and has designed and delivered professional development supporting educators to create classroom environments in which children feel safe, connected and ready to learn. She has presented at regional events including the BSME Early Years Conference 2025, MENA Inclusion and Wellbeing Conference 2025 and has guest lectured with the University of Birmingham Dubai from 2023 to 2026, supporting teacher-training students to embed effective wellbeing strategies within their developing practice in Moral Education and Wellbeing.
