Priya is a qualified Social Worker and mental health practitioner with over 30 years’ experience of
working with children and families within a variety of roles, including Education, Social
Care, Youth Offending, Mental Health and Counselling. As an international safeguarding
practitioner, she has worked in the Middle East and South East Asia since January 2013 and
has led on safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives. She provides training and safeguarding
supervision to counsellors and safeguarding leads in schools and has contributed to
government strategy and competencies as well as working with NGOs. Priya created and chaired the Abu Dhabi Child Protection Cluster Group which worked alongside the MOI-CPC to implement consistent policy and procedures within international schools.
