Fiona took over the role of chief executive of Into Film in April 2024. She has worked for ten years in the charity sector, following a 20 year career in education, including senior teaching posts in schools, in teacher training, and on national initiatives for the Department for Education, focusing on closing the attainment gap and widening access to opportunities for all children and young people. Fiona holds a Masters in Literacy Education and was previously Director of Schools Programmes for the National Literacy Trust for 8 years. Fiona is on the Advisory Group for World Book Day and convened the cross-sector Primary School Library Alliance.
